Green Jay Chatter

I'll definitely take a picture of whichever one I get. I know hers are 3 different colors, and none are black. So I'm looking forward to seeing them again. I haven't been over there in about a month, and I didn't really pay them much attention last time because it was a very quick visit.
Nah, take a picture of all three, we'll help you choose which one! 🤣
What color is Pippin?

Awe she's adorable! :love

Are you going to hatch silky eggs or just getting a "we're both fuzzballs" companion?
Lol definitely the companion is the top priority. But I do plan on hatching from my flock, so I would hatch out some of they so decided!

My bantam flock has a mix of cochins, d'Uccles, buff brahams, an OEGB, and a golden sebright. And Pippin of course, and the new male when I get him. The cochins and d'Uccles I've got several colors of each. I should hatch out some interesting mixes!

so random question, my hens started layin outside their nest boxes a few months ago, we had a few chairs in the run they started using instead.....i wonder if i take the chairs out and cover the back of the nesting boxes (to make it a bit darker ) do yall think they will go back ?

Mine aren't laying yet, so I'm no help there. I will say, my friend's nesting boxes are 5 gallon buckets screwed to the wall, and her chickens seem to like them. She's got 9 bucket boxes, and the corner they're in stays pretty dark. So that may help for sure.
