see i love that idea i got a trellis in my front yard so i could do the same and then some in containers ......i also got 2 new blackberry bushes .... the najajo and natchez kindsI definitely did.I do plan to try strawberries again this coming year, but I'm going to buy already started plants and I think grow them in hanging baskets. That way they're up off the ground and ants won't be as easily able to get the fruit.
Are those thornless varieties? We have grown several thornless, all names for Native American tribes as well. I love them. They make giant berries, and tons of them. Plus, no thorns to fight when picking.see i love that idea i got a trellis in my front yard so i could do the same and then some in containers ......i also got 2 new blackberry bushes .... the najajo and natchez kinds
