But I don't have any bags yet. I'm very stubborn about getting my family to be careful with bags, and I save them year to year. Most of the bags get reused but any received with lots of glitter :barnie go right into the trash! 🤣

I'm doing better today. I got the coop cleaned out good this morning. My other cockerel is crowing now, yay! And one of my pullets, lol. She sounds more like she's being strangled. I figure that'll level off once everyone's hormones regulate.

I continue to be amazed at the bizarre noises chickens make, whatever happened to soft cluck clucks?

Yes! My ladies can make some ungodly noises!

I'm very glad that Shirley is a BB Red OEGB and has female specific coloring. Otherwise, I would absolutely be freaking out thinking she isn't a she, lol.

Good morning fellow chicken lovers! How is everyone today?

Was trying to get the outside lights up yesterday, it's really warm (ok, hot to some!) here by the way, ticked off some wasps 😱. I'm outta here! Yes, I left the lights dangling half up and half down... 😏
I'll just try again this morning while it's still cool, stupid buggers. Really don't want to get stung while hanging off an 8ft ladder 🙄.
And apparently I'd forgotten what a pain in the rear it is to hang lights... 🤣

Oh no!! It's warm here too. Near or at 80 all week, I think. I can't complain too much. My chicks are much happier outside than having to be indoors all day.

I hope everyone has a great week! Any big plans for anyone?
