The owls live here, he's got a mate and they have a nest out in the back area of the properties. They're around the yard a lot early and late but usually in the trees where they're harder to see or get a pic. Our neighbor spotted them "doing the dirty" couple of months ago so I'm guessing they have a small clutch brooding. Or hatched? Don't know how long owls incubate?aww maybe it will come back , and they sure are , we have one chicken that anytime we open the door to the shed she tries her hardest to run in and hide, sometimes we miss her too and she spends the night in there . she loves to lay down in the hay bales and just relax
LoL and that's one reason why my girls stay in a run...
Can't imagine having to hunt down one at bedtime by searching garage, patio, pond area, at least your girl has a consistent hideout.
