Green legged white chicken

We ordered an appenzeler spitzhauben and the chick we got is now 13 weeks old. She is not an AS, but she is white also with green legs. She has no muffs though. We can't figure out what she is either.

Sometimes the feed can turn their legs green...I've had that happened a few times and as they got older, they turned slate. Not sure why but the ones I've got were hatchery stock and the green legs disappeared when they were a month old..

If she continued to have green legs, looked like a cross bred of some sort. Where did your Spitzhauben came from?

She came from my Pet Chicken. After looking at pictures that we send them, they can't even tell us what she is! The other 5 that we ordered were the right breeds.

I have one that looks exactly like the one in the photo that was posted. She is ameracauna/chantecler x. Her legs are also a dark, olive-ey green. Stunningly beautiful (imo), carries herself like a queen, very independent and extremely clever! I've actually started training her :)

Hi,  I have white pullet with green legs, they are almost olive colored. Can anyone tell me what breed she might be?  I got her with a brown egg assortment that I ordered from Mcmurray. Thanks in advance.

Kris

Kris, I too recieved a green legged white hen (2 actually) with my brown layer assortment from Murray McMurray. I would like to know what type of hybrid they are.My pullets are on the verge of laying now, and I just opened the nest boxes, so I have no idea what kind of producer these chickens are. As far as aesthetics, I am hard pressed to find an uglier bird...not to mention these two are pretty nasty to my younger chicks (all range together). If they do not produce well and start leaving the little ones alone, they may just end up in the pot...

When I got my EE chicks, one was yellow. She's turned into a white pullet. I don't know if this holds true for all of them or not.
I bought 10 light Brshmas and 10 EE and found out I got a extra chick but she has turned out white with green legs and peach colored spots on her chest

Your chick has muffs on it's face, so it is most likely an easter egger, they often have green legs. :) They come in many colors.
