We caught our neighbor yesterday on his way to some parade, I thought this was great and wanted to share.

Somehow he always manages to remember to water the lawn.

We have an annual Art Car parade here every year with tons of cars done all wild like that- hubby and I always wanted to do a sod car and now I'm convinced! I was thinking wheat grass, since it grows so quickly. I could never do moss in this climate.

Yes that is real grass....he even made his bumpers into planters like window boxes that have all sorts of different flowers in them. He is a great guy and has been working on this for a while, he did a great job. We were laughing so hard yesterday after taking this photo and wondering how on earth he keeps it mowed.

I heard a lady, on NPR asking about VW Bugs as use in art cars. She wanted to get rid of her huge collection of beach glass, by coating an old Bug with it. I think it would look great. Laid flat, like mosaic.

I'm not sure that my dad would think it was cool or have a coniption - he rebuilds old VWs (mostly the type 3 hatchbacks)
