Ponazuril is toltrazuril, which is used for coccdiosis sometimes. If the vet is recommending that then you may have a strain that is less sensitive to Corid, and I would go with the vet's recommendation. Sometimes when people treat with Corid and don't get the expected improvement, then they switch to toltrazuril or to a sulfa antibiotic.
