I went in my coop this morning and on the roosting bar it looked like there was some green, slightly watery poop. It’s been hot here, 89° usually. I fed them a watermelon yesterday and they have been eating on the rinds since then. Could it just be a combination of the heat and watermelon or grass? Or should I be looking for sour crop?

My chickens have green poop all the time. I don't think you have anything to worry about.
Thanks! I figured I was overreacting, this is the first time I’ve had chickens so my experience is pretty limited so anything abnormal I tend to freak out 😂

It never hurt to take a look at poop.
You mention should you be looking at Sour Crop. Always a good idea to get into the habit of checking crops regularly as well. Check first thing in the morning before your birds have had anything to eat/drink. The crop should be flat.

The more you become familiar with your birds, their behavior and anatomy the more likely you will be able to catch something early.
