I used an old grist mill stone from my dad's old farm as a center when you come up to the house!

Beautiful Michaelf

Well I've taken back part of my back yard from my girls. I am still getting major stink eye. To date I've got my onions, peas, Swiss chard, radishes(Easter egg),potatoes, and spinach in. I'm putting carrots in today. My tristar strawberries came yesterday and I'll get them in this week. Making a whole new patch. Too much work and a late start cause of this winter. With the crazy wind yesterday my window to my new cold frame slammed down and smashed on top of my red onions. What a mess. It two steps forward and one step back around here. Enjoy the soil everyone...

Snipped some leaf off my spinach, lettuce and endive yesterday.. had me a mini-salad. Firs thing edible to have come from the garden this year.

A lot of seeds are sprouting in the herd/flower garden.. sunflowers, poppies, milkweed... We're getting a lot of rain and temps between 60-80F, so everything is loving that (except me... they can keep the rain

)

My grape and muscadine I planted last year are both sprouting leaf, so they made it through our VERY cold Southern winter. The fig died.

I've been harvesting my asparagus this week, have got 3 harvests so far.

Peas, potatoes, onions, coles are all up.

I think my fig died too.

Raspberries are leaving out.

Yup, I got potatoes in a trash can, they're looking good! Peas growing up the sides of the compost piles.

I got some asparagus seed from seedofthemonth club.. I have never ever grown them, it sounds nice to have perennial veggies. Not sure if I'd have much luck with them though.

My fig tree is showing signs of life, potatoes still are not sprouting, but my helpful gardening hen did some digging and thevone she dug before I caught her was showing signs of life.
After a very slow start my indoorcseeds have sprouted. Hope end of May will be feasable. They are greeted every morning wirh a cherrful "Good morning little sprouts!" Just to encourage them (and me on days like today)
A little worried about the snow peas, spinach and kale that is up, a lot of rain today, and not nearly as much as other places. Hope everyone is safe!

My plants seem to love this rain... We had 7 inches overnight! Everything grew like mad since yesterday

I wish this thread would show up closer to other threads I subscribe to.

Wet here. again! Got Blue Swedish ducks this year and they don't seem to mind.

Currants, gooseberries and Raspberries are budded out. Lilacs too. I just hope they don't drowned like last year. These are the ones that survived last year.

Bought some more Rhubarb to try again. Tomatoes are started and some flowers.

Hope all the folks in the midwest are doing okay. And my friends in AL.

All is well here.

My muscadine has exploded into a sea of leaf. Planted two small raspberry plants. My dead fig came back to life and is flourishing. Apparently the squirrels I fed throughout the winter have repaid the favor by burrying some of the pecans in my garden

I moved one of the saplings to a bucket... might just grow me a pecan tree.

We've been eating some spinach, endive and lettuce from the garden already. Good stuff. Everything is looking wonderful.

Oh, and my husband built me one more raised bed!
