I have a fenced area for my dogs, approximately 30x40ft with 6ft chainlink. I'm sort of wishing I spent the money and got stockade because this chainlink is unsightly! I'm looking for ways to disguise it, and the most cost efficient and natural way seems to be climbing vines. I originally looked at different types of Ivy, but they all seem to be poisonous. Star Jasmine would be beautiful and I love the fact that it's a flowering vine but, again, poisonous. I am looking for a fast growing evergreen vine that will not be toxic to my pups or chickens if they decide to eat it. The fence is in a full sun area. Any ideas?

Have you thought about painting the chain link? I saw another thread on here where someone painted and it made the wire disappear... might work for chain link too.

Around here one of the fastest growing beautiful vines is potato vine. It comes in white or purple. It flowers about 10 months out of the year and spreads fast. Not sure if it grows in your area but it would be worth looking into.
