Too much heat lost on the cold cold nights. When the cold air is under the deck iit adds one more plane of cold air. Contact with the ground contains heat and can add heat on a bitter cold day. If you keep a greenhouse about 32 degrees then heating starts to cost more when you allow very cold air under the floor. If I had a grade on my land I would build into the side of a hill, But I have a yard that floods frequently so I built the greenhouse on the deck.how come?

I just enclosed it and so far alls I have growing are potted Tomato and Pepper plants from summer cut back to regrow. I will be taking cuttings from them all winter long and planting them in the ground come spring. I started some Tomato, Basil, Oregano, and sunflower seeds as well as some ginger root in there. I placed my Miracle Berry plant in there, still waiting to for fruit production on that.Very interesting! Nice job. What have you gotten from it so far?
