I have a cockerel who got beat up by another cockerel. He has scabbed over wounds all across his back. The scabs look good but I noticed some of the skin around was a light greenish color, like a bruise hue. Is that just natural bruising or should I be more concerned? There is no smell to his wounds and the scabs are the normal dark brown/red color. There is no drainage or puss. Thanks for any help you can give. If I have to I could get a pic.
This chicken is not a pet and if he has something going on that will require a lot of care he will be going to freezer camp so I don't need any suggestions on how to fix a serious problem. I was however hoping to pair him up with one of my pullets for sale so I'm hoping this is just bruising and not something more. Thanks!
