I stopped at the local store today to ask about leftover vegetables for my girls since I fed them the last of the tomatoes from the garden today. The produce manager said I could pick up at least a box a day for them. Until recently, someone had been picking it up for their pigs but have now slaughtered them so wasn't getting them anymore. My girls are going to be HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY!!
They LOVE their veggies. They have finished demolishing the parsley that they refused to touch until there was no more grass, weeds, etc to eat. They get warm veggies (potatoes, sweet potaores, beets, carrots) and apples in their porridge/grain mix that I cook for them faithfully. They love to eat.
