Greetings From Alaska

Went and met the future kids today. The three girls are all Rhode island reds i thought the boy was too but they told me he was a cornish cross? Starting construction on the coop tomorrow should be finished by Sunday night and ready for Monday morning.
Trying to figure out names, and finding defining features on the girls is tough although one seems to be missing all her claws (talons?). The other two girlies are different shades of red.
The rooster is so handsome and a very polite gentleman he was apparently a rescue and came to the owners with 1 tail feather and some scruff on his chest. He was a little photo shy and didnt want to stand up until my back was turned so I didn't get a picture of him in all his majesty. Just thought everyone might like to see pictures.

Very nice! They are beautiful birds. I like to give my chickens people names, but I guess that's not everyone's thing :lau
I'm probably wrong, but I Google'ed some pictures of cornish cross, and they don't look much like you rooster. Perhaps he is another breed?

Yeah I did the same thing I didn't want to insult the guy with my lack of experience. I looked up the Cornish cross as well and they are mostly all white? With none of them having any red and he is most definatly not white lol. I don't know I will get some better pictures of him when I officially pick him up maybe there's some feature Im missing

You should post the pics you've got (they're good enough I'd think, for a preliminary glance anyway) in the What breed or gender is this? section. You'd probably get more responses there. :p

Do you think either of these would match up?

I'm not good at breeds, so you'd still be better off posting in the other section. :p

Well the second one is a RIR rooster, so maybe all your chickens are RIRs. :p
Actually, just looked at your other thread. Seems you found out already. Cool.
