Indiana, eh? I used to live there--in the Terre Haute region. Lovely state, in its own way.

Well, as far as the cockerels go, it went something like this: I ordered some chicks from a hatchery in Texas, and I originally ordered three males and three females (breeding pairs). Well, as Providence would have it, all my females had a crippling genetic disease that rendered them useless for eggs and breeding. That left me with three cockerels, plus some cockerels we got from the local Tractor Supply Co. in April, plus the Jersey Giant cockerel I got for my Mom.

What breeds do you have, and how many?

@chickmchickie:
Thanks! What does "Ely Mn" stand for?

Thank you, Symphony! Hey, I'm homeschooled, too! I'm not Catholic (I'm a Calvinist, to be precise), but I am glad we share the same Lord.

What chicken breeds do you keep?

Oh, BTW everyone, I have no idea how to start a new topic post without replying to another post. I sort of stumbled upon it when I made this intro-post, but I've since forgotten. Can anybody tell me how to do it? Thanks!
