My wife and I have just 3 chooks, and they are all bitzers. We have both retired (although I have started to work part-time at a local gun store- keeping the brain active) and we have moved to the Southern Highlands of New South Wales in the little village of Wingello on just over 2 hectares. It gets very cold in the Highlands sometimes getting down to 7 degrees celsius ((44 degrees F. in your money) but the summers are a lot milder.
