Hello and thanks for such a wonderful forum.

We have had chicks for about 2 years. We have 2 Golden Comets acquired as laying hens, and recently acquired 2 7-week old ISA Brown pullets. One of our goldens has already "retired" and it just a pet chicken.

Golden Egg5 has convinced me to get some hatchlings, and will be incubating 5 for us.

We live on 17 acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The chicks have a coop attached to the barn, and a fenced off area for free ranging. We also have 2 dogs, a housecat, and 2 barn cats. Prior to last month, we lived in Columbia, SC. Hubs retired after 20+ years in the Army, and we decided to call TN home.
