Hello folks! Just wanted to say hello and introduce ourselves. I joined a few months back, but have been using this site for years for information- you guys are so awesome, that it's hard to even come up with a question to ask that hasn't already been answered
Every little emergency we've had so far has been solved without even having to make a post!
My husband and I bought 16 acres in 2011 and have been working hard to get our farmstead/business up and running. We're pretty small scale right now, and we're hoping just to feed ourselves with a homestead setup. But man-oh-man. I ordered chickens at the beginning of 2012 and have gone a bit crazy over them. They are pretty much my favorite things, aside from a good tomato!
Anyway, we are loving the country life! I grew up in KY, and my husband if from Melbourne, Australia. We're living in a shabby little trailer right now and hopefully will start building a house this spring.
