Greetings from North Carolina

:welcome

Emus always looked interesting to me, it's fun to read about them.

Best of luck with your plans, happy holidays

Emu's were very popular among some chickeners several years ago - they even had delightful videos of them but, think they have been removed. The current emu threads are very informative - especially ones written about them in Australia -in the wild.

Emus need alot of room to run and the less trees the better, as they aren't especially smart about dodging them when at full out run speed.

G’Day from down under Tiny Farms and Brewing :frow Welcome!

I have not heard about Emu's running into trees :idunno I did have one run alongside my car for a distance and then duck in front of it to go back off the road. They sure can turn pretty quick.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

You might want to also Find Your State Thread and pop in and say hello.

Personally, I have found the Topic of the Week articles a great resource and a one stop shop for questions which may have already been discussed within the BYC membership group.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)

Best wishes for a bright and cheerful Christmas and a Happy New Year!
