hi,

i'm a new member.
i've been trolling thru the forums for the last month to glean knowledge and figured it was time to sign up

i'm part of a community garden that has 26 [well now 25, our Araucana went MIA

] chickens that are about 1-2 years old.
the flock is a mix of rhode island reds, hollands (?) orpingtons, leg horns, wyandottes (?). i'm not quite sure what we have to be honest.
it's a community effort to raise and care for the brood, and i've never had chickens myself it's a total new learning experience.

i'm sure i'll be asking questions on the boards, i thank you in advance

That's pretty cool. How did the community go about setting up the shared flock? We're toying with the idea of adding a small flock to the school garden, but we're a long way away from it actually happening. I'd love to hear about how y'all share the work... do you have one or two leads and the rest volunteer whenever?

Welcome from San Diego
