Greeting All!
I am getting my first chickens TOMORROW! I'm excited and terrified! I want them to be safe, healthy and happy and will do whatever I can to make these things possible :0)
I am getting 1 Brahma 19wks, 1 Buff Orpington 18 wks, 1 Austalorp 8 weeks & 1 Silkie 8 weeks. I will be separating the pairs until the smaller ones catch up to their bigger sisters.
I am "Coop Crazy" at this stage and am overwhelmed by the beautiful and clever coops people have constructed.
I've gotten their organic Modesto Mills feed (different one for each age), stainless water cups and will be crafting some roosting poles for the little ones who will be housed in a wire exclosure I had built for my cats (they now have their palace on the other side of the house) until they are old enough to integrate.
I guess that's it for now, I'm happy to be here!
Cheers!
