Greetings from the north

Welcome to BYC! :frow
Those pics are adorable..:love
I would love to see a pic of your stove.. I have a 1930s home comfort that I just love! :D
I didn't clean it up very well... I'm sorry to say, it's a German woodstove the hubby stacked wood for his old boss to get it. Well worth it. Called a vogelzang I believe. Cooking on it did take time to learn, but I did not want to go back to propane come spring, but to save the hubby from chopping wood all year l caved. Ignore Jolene in the pic she's a ham.

Oh how cute! The pup too! :lau
That is a great find! It does take some learning but I find it an enjoyable challange! I dont use the home comfort much during winter, it has a small firebox so not a good heat source. We have an old parlor stove that stays rolling in winter so I cook on it much of the time.
What would you say is your favorite dish to cook on it?:pop

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
I'm curious... how do you access the internet without using any electricity to power your device(s)?
I have a tablet and a small 24 volt hiking/camping solar panel and battery packs . It works well for most of my needs, but I'm looking at hybrid solar/wind systems

Wow a lot to do on here before an intro, I have limited online time, I'll try to browse through but I dont want to disclose my exact location. Northern maine should be enough
Northern Maine is enough. That's about all any of us give out. Welcome to BYC! It's good to have you here!:highfive: :frow:welcome
