Grey Chick ! From buff sussex parents ?

5 out of 8 hatched now.

Got 2 grey and 3 yellow. Hopefully 2 more will hatch and I will post pictures tomorrow. Unfortunately 1 chick looks like a dud. No movement or pipping so far.
Some take longer to hatch. I'd give it a couple days before checking, or you can check before bed.

Pretty good hatch so far.

So in total 7 out of 8 have hatched and i have one dark grey and one a slightly lighter grey. Let's see if the grey ones will turn out buff like the parents or if they remain grey...

The rest are all yellow. Pics attached.

They look like they have abit of partridge influence, but won't know for sure until they start feathering out.

It will not affect the adult feathers, they will be Buff Columbian
Occasionally there will be some sort of pattern leakage in the Columbian color pattern. I believe this what's called Incomplete Columbian.

That would not be the case here, since both parents are Buff columbian
Yes, both are Buff Columbian, but with hatchery stock for example, some show the same pattern leakage despite being pure for Columbian.
