Oh! Miss P, I was at Banter's a few weeks ago and saw her gorgeous geese and got to hold one of her precious goslings. They are so so pretty and live in a beautiful setting! Banter's house, barn and fields are just gorgeous.

What a great job you did hatching these darlings and how wonderful you got a pair!!!!!!!!!!

They are doing real good today. The little girl is up and walking and both are eating well.

Do I cool down and mist on day 4 or do I start on day 5 ?

and since my new hen was in a pen full of OEGB, I am going to put some of her eggs in there too on day 8-9. because I would hate to see some pure breed eggs to go to waste.

Chicken eggs don't normally do well with goose eggs as the humidity is too high for them.

Day 1 - Day 4 - don't do any thing

Day5 - start misting and cooling

OH, I'm so happy they are doing well! But-uh oh, this is the first time in all my days on BYC that I have even entertained the thought of adding a goose or two. Might even do some reading.... the goslings are really cute but Banter's picture may have done me in! That is one gorgeous goose!

I'm in trouble now!
