Sasa, your gander is lovely, but he is not a Pomeranian.

Gosh, I am starting to realize that I got a deal. I got 6 for $100.He's a Calender boy for sure. He was $50, I don't know what she charges for hens.
He is really into his chickens, and sells them all over the country, I think he just didn't like geese once he bought them, and didn't want to bother with them.Geesh. The rest of us can't find them and that guy couldn't even sell them. His issues is that he didn't advertise them in the right place.
For some reason everyone down here has African geese or Embdens, but I know very few people who have geese. Everyone I know who did have geese did not lock them up at night, with predictable results. There are many ponds in my area, and people put them out on the ponds and just expect them to survive with no human intervention. There is a pond in front of the nursing home where my dad stayed and people would dump ducks and geese there all the time, thinking that they would be fed and cared for. Those poor creatures never got anything more than crackers unless I brought food for them. Also, there were so many turtles in the pond that the little ones never made it. I got my first geese taking home ones that had been injured.Wow, here they would go fast. I feel lucky to have found some 7 year old Toulouse hens, I'll get them on Friday.
