Grit and Oyster together ?????

Can I put the grit and oyster shell together or do they need to be separate ?
I glanced through the other posts but sorry if this is a repeat question

We use a low/wide feed pan and put both together. They pick through for what they want. We have done this for a couple of years, seems to work for us. But, it would look “neater” if separate.

I do the same thing. They'll pick out what they want.

Best to serve them separate so 1) the birds can easily pick out the exact thing they need, instead of trying to figure out if a piece is grit or oyster shell and 2) you can easily monitor the levels of both grit and oyster shell so you can refill as needed (my flock goes through oyster much faster).
