Grit for chicks?

Is regular poultry grit ok for baby chicks that get a few grass clippings? Is there grit for babies that I should get instead?

For young chicks it is best to get the parakeet grit or a course sand. You don't want the play sand. That is too fine and smooth. Construction sand would work well.
