Grit question?

If my chickens free range will i need to give them grit?

Do they have access to any gravel,,like a gravel driveway? Cuz thats all grit is and thats what older farmers did.

None of my free ranging chickens ever get grit. They can always find enough grit and gravel by scratching around.

So glad I found this! I have been wondering the same thing since we are free ranging for the first time.
