Grass needs grit to digest.Chicks do not need grit unless they are eating whole seeds, which they should not be getting at that age. Chick feed is formulated to digest without requiring grit.
You can start with things like a little diced vegetables or grass, clover, flowers, etc.

Grit at 2 weeks? You must be having Jumbo Pekin Duck..I believe that has a lot of calcium in it (as parakeets/parrots have different needs) so check the packaging to see if calcium or "shell grit" is a component.
If you can't get chick grit, which isn't available everywhere, you can use a sieve or colander to sift small pieces out of adult grit, or even handfuls of gravel. Whatever falls through should be small enough.

jokes aside I think it's too early at 2 weeks they should be getting some starter food, if the gamebird needs calcium so bad I would crush and grind small oyster shell or marble chip myself. I give that to my henGrit at 2 weeks? You must be having Jumbo Pekin Duck..![]()

oh ! I am certain the 'poultry grit' I buy here and the one you have given to your 2 day old chick is two different things then .By Size compatibility?? 2 weeks?
