What size grit do ducklings need?

Local store is out of chick grit, but I have a giant pile of crushed gravel outside my back door. Everything from dust up to inch chunks - I just don't know what size I want! Am I looking for the size of corn meal? Couscous? Rice?
(Am I overly focused on food, and should perhaps consider breakfast...?)

couscous to rice sized. Think small aquarium gravel.

If in doubt, put a handful of mixed size and they will take what they need.

I have been astonished at the size of items my ducks try to "eat"; mostly unsuccessfully, but sometimes quite successfully! If in doubt; let them work it out
