(yes, I tasted it). Gonna snag the pharmacist in the morning and get em all sorted out.
Keith lost 23 lbs. through all of this. He needed to lose those pounds, but not like this.

Hope they did some extensive coumadin teaching... if they didn't, please either PM me or look up online... one of the important things to know is that if you are going to eat any dark leafy veggies, you need to do it consistently or not at all. They are filled with Vitamin K which is a clotting agent and counteracts the coumadin and anticoagulant properties. He should be tested at least once a week either in home by home care or at a lab for PT/INR levels. Simple finger prick. And MOST importantly, please be on the look out for increased bleeding times, gums bleeding, bloody noses that won't stop, excessive bruising. NO SHARP OBJECTS!!!! PERIOD!!!!!! That means electric razor!!!!!!! And you cut up his meat. I mean it!!! Okay I'm done... so glad he is home!!

Hey grit, if they sell those Atkins Nutritional shakes at your store, they taste really great and have no added sugar in them, they have loads of protein too. Check it out. I'm stocking up on them just in case I can't manage real food at times. HINT: if you do get them stick them int he freezer for 15 minutes before you use one, makes it a bit more yummy. Glad your DH is home.

We gotta take this stuff one day at a time. Hope you all sleep well tonight.
