I heard it was something missing in the diet. Pain as it is I would leash the dog. I take mine out(fenced yard),because my dogs poop ALL over the yard.Hated stepping in it.

ANYWAYS. Actually all the cat poop under the trampoline is very deeply covered in sand...If I took the time to dig it up and remove it, the cats would be right back under there. SO. I'm kinda looking into somthing I can give either the cats or the dogs to stop the problem. I've heard of feeding pineapple to dogs who eat their own poo, but can you give it to cats?

Yeah my dog used to love finding kitty treats too. She also went through a phase of eating her own poo. There is powder you can sprinkle in their food to stop this. Get it from your vet or Fosters & Smith. It's called Cophragia. I've heard feeding them cut up cucumber and pineapple help deter them from this.

Equally, the Coprophagia products do the same thing. It discourages a dog from eating its own feces or the feces of another dog (that has also consumed the product). It will do nothing for dogs that eat poop from any animal that hasn't been fed the product that very day (wild animals, livestock etc).

i have a horrible poop eating dog, nothing stops her, meat tenderizer and pineapple in the food didn't shake her, she's taught some of the other to eat it to, i could just brain her, she's a sweet dog but a gross hog at the same time, i just try to keep the yard picked up as much as possible

But my question is, can you feed pineapple to the CATS? And make THEIR poop taste bad (

as if it didn't already )
