Gross

Gross. I just realized that my Light Brahma, Buttercup, looks dirty around her vent and oil gland. What does this mean? She had a nice long dust bath today, and looks like the dust stuck in those two places.

I think it means she is dirty..


Did you see mites or lice? Is her poop normal? They get dirty. 90% of mine are dirty. They hate baths and skip them if they can.

If she seems normal otherwise, normal poops no nasties etc, I would not be concerned. If you think that is gross, I will not be posting butt pictures of one of my frizzle's butt, she is a dirty girl

Ok, cool. I won’t sweat it. I don’t see external parasites, but will take a closer look. She seems healthy and happy. Still does her little yelling/airway clearing thing occasionally when she eats, but seems great otherwise.
