GROUND SQUIRRELS???? warning to all BYC'ers

All squirrels are as destructive as this. The difference is, I haven't heard of other species eating chicks or chicken eggs. But as for eating their food, digging up and eating plants, wires, fruit off your trees, etc.. Heck I've even had them take all my tomatoes in addition to digging up most of the rest of my garden. The little *&^%$# Looked like they were shopping at the grocery store looking over the plants for a meal. I've also had them nest in the attic and chew up the timbers of my roof.

Squirrels are not "cute" and when I see those squirrel feeders I just want to

someone.

oh I know....I had one get in my basement one time. I am in a heavily treed area and they are everywhere, reds also...distructive as heck.

All rodents are destructive in one manner or another, and cannibalistic........IT"S A RAT !

I was googling to see if ground squirrels eat baby birds and this is the first post I ran into. I am crushed. I had 2 eggs ready hatch and a freaking ground squirrel ate them, singled them out from the day's eggs. I am floored! There is nowhere my hens can lay them that the nasty bugger can't get into! what do you do???
