My neighbor pointed out a den of baby groundhogs in her yard yesterday. I didnt think anything of it,because they were in her yard, but today I went down to my chicken coop & there was one of the babies, just hanging out infront of my chicken coop. I scared it away, but could a groundhog be a potential danger to my chickens? I did set a live trap to hopefully catch them & take them somewhere else. Right now we know of 5 of them. Do I have anything to worry about with the groundhogs attacking chickens? or are they plant eaters?
