Growing grass in the run

Ok a board would slide up and down to separate them on either side of it so the grass has a chance to come up the side that they are not on.

that way the grass on one side would have enough time to replenish itself while the chickens are on the other side of the board.

Well there run is 11 feet wide so I don't really no how that would work

how is your run built is it one long panel or do you have posts every so often

It's too big Long dog pens connected together with 4 panels long and to panels wide which each panel is about 6 feet wide and 7 feet tall and there entire run is over 30 feet long and 11 feet wide

you could do a gate, one split in the middle and attached to the middle of the two inner ones, the run would be split exactly in the half, kind of like french doors, easier to span the distance, and that way they can be only be about 5.5 feet wide they would be lighter to open and close if they were made out of chicken wire and 2X4s then it could be any size you need it.

I like that but how could I build those
