Growing so quick!

Silver my EE is setting a bad example. Only a week old and she is already a escape artist. My little Millie Fluer is taking notes.

So I ziptied bookcase cubes together and made a top for tonight . I don’t like big squares but since it’s there I doubt she will fly at it. I have a bigger box that I will see if it will work tomorrow.

Yup Millie the one that was watching flew out as soon as I took the top off this morning.. I knew she was learning lol.

LOL I remember a day that I had left my little baby chicks, who were not yet flying out, for 8 hrs without checking on them. I had the brooder in a spare bedroom. When I went to check them, all 16 had flew out and been running around the room for who knows how long! A long time apparently, because the whole room was covered in poop! It took me a full day to clean that room. I can laugh about it now, but at the time, I wanted to cry at that mess!

I can imagine. They poop so much.

I am keeping them in my kids bathroom since it’s easy to cleanup and it easy to get to. It is a bit of a distraction for them when they are getting ready for school though.
