Growing Sprouts or Fodder for Ducks

Hi there! Now that fall is here, I am looking for nutritious things to feed my young ducks. My garden is finished for the season. It's expensive to keep buying greens from my local produce place. I came across an article in Mother Earth News. I am interested in growing sprouts or fodder for my ducks. I am planning on using wide mouth Mason jars to start off. Has anyone grown them? What kinds of seeds or grains have you grown? Any other advice? Thanks!

I grew a nice patch of rye grass for them that the chickens obliterated before the ducks even knew it was there

That sounds like it would be yummy on a sandwich, salad or shake! I think I'm going to try them.

They are yummy., sort of like pea flavored lettuce. I had them at a restaurant and came home and looked up how to grow them. Here is were I got my seed:
