Yes, I will keep on with that. She seems to be calming down now that I've handled her so much, in such a short time. Snipping it shouldn't be so difficult. And definitely hoping for the best, thank you!Good time to snip down the spur a bit at time.

You hang in there, you're doing a great job. Its a tough situation, but not beyond treatment and you're getting some great advice on here. Even if she loses the toes she can still have a great life. Were you able to identify the bugs? Maybe you want to try giving her a bath when you have her inside for her foot treatment? I'm sure that (and a warm blow dry) would be well appreciated!I'm not sure if it's because of the freak mite incident and having to move the chicken back to the coop for a couple days, then back to the house, but I realized through the week, her toes have blackened and stiffened. She for sure is going to lose at least three of them.I thought I caught it in time, but my lack of knowledge with frostbite I think harmed her more than anything. Never had to deal with this in the past seven years... I still have her in the house, but she's been becoming more feisty with me (it's the gamehen in her... lol) But still continuing what you told me to do with her feet.
