i am going to plants some veggies for my chickens and ducks any suggestions.. something easy my thumb is not very green but im not horrible at it. im planting this in a pallet not sure how many people have heard of this but im giving it a shot

I don't know if this will work in a pallet, but the "greens" are great for chickens - kale, collards, chard, spinach, etc. I grow some of these each year and DH and I have them as our salad greens. But inevitably the plants grow faster than we can eat them so each day I pick a few leaves and throw them over the fence for the hens. They go ape over them and turn them into nice, healthy, orange yolks for us.

I have heard greens grow well in the pallet gardens thanks im glad to know the chickens like them.

From my experience all chickens have individual tastes. I would recomend a variety to start to see what they like and dislike. They will eat leaves from some trees also. Mine love Hackberry leaves as a source of forage.

I planted oats and barley. They're both very easily grown! I just snap off the grain heads and toss them whole into their coup. They go crazy fighting and squabbling over the heads of grain! It's good exercise for them too. :)
I actually didn't buy seed. I just bought some Producers Pride 'All-Grain' from TSC. One day I spilled a lil bit of the feed and in 3-4 days lil sprouts came up! All-Grain is whole oats, course barley, and cracked corn mixed with molasses. I use it as chicken treats and mix it 1:2 in my rabbits' feeds. My bunnies LOVE it... now they won't eat feed without it, lol
(Don't feed chickens too much All-Grain though... Molasses is a laxative for chickens!) :P
