growth differences?

Watching them fight for pecking order is so funny sometimes. I have adult chickens and they occationally peck around at each other for pecking order. Mostly it's my RIR and FT, my Silkie mix. Those two I swear play hide and seek and the winner is top hen.

When I got my Buffs back at the end of March or first of April, all of them looked like they were the same size. But, in just a couple of weeks, I began seeing a slight difference in sizes. They are now grown and are laying good. But, there is still some difference in size. I guess it's kind of like it is with people, dogs, cats, and so on.

Also, I got 26 Dark Cornish males from Ideal last week. Likewise, they all appeared to be exactly the same size. I've had them exactly one week as of today, and there is a couple of them that appear a bit smaller. Just for curiosity sake, I got out my wife's "Weight Watcher" scale and weighed them. Sure enough, they are a bit smaller than everyone else.

I'd be quite pleased if these two turned out to be pullets!!

I do , but they do take care of her, if the two "big sisters" get up on a roost, and she peeps and peeps on the ground, they do get down and go to her, and find another spot , it seems, that she will get to with them.
