Growth on Beak

So, my friend found an abandoned chicken. I haven’t seen this type of growth, but she has a dried mud looking growth on her beak. Does anyone have any suggestions?

It might be from rubbing on metal fencing, but I would check inside the beak as well, for any yeloow material or cankers. Hopefully, if it is an injury, it will eventually heal. Fowl pox might also be considered if you have mosquitoes now, and since there are a couple of scabs on the face.

I wonder if her upper beak was broken and is healing? I can't tell from the pictures posted.
