Growth on beak??

Any idea what this is? My husband thinks she is growing a horn!

I have something similar happening. My girls started out with what looked like a scratch but it has continued to grow. It’s on the top of her beak like that as well and now it’s starting to turn like a black, crusty color. I’m afraid it’s a tumor.

That seems to be a common place for injuries at the top of the comb, if they are injuring it on chicken wire or a sharp feeder. It should heal eventually.
