Growth on chicken's beaks?

Hello! I have two chickens, about 16 weeks old now and I've just noticed weird growths on the top of their beaks. Both different breeds from the same hatchery. Any ideas what this is? Thanks!

What does their feeders or fencing look like. Are they sticking their beaks through anything metal?

Potentially could be doing that. They have hardware cloth for their fencing and galvanized hanging feeders. Same for the rest of my chickens but only these two have the growth

Some weird genetic anomaly....like sprigs on combs or random toenails elsewhere.
Odd that it's on 2 hatchery birds of different breeds.
Not sure it will cause problems down the road.

Those types of injuries or lesions are seen in a number of threads if you search the forums for “wart or growth on beak.” Many never give a follow-up of what happened. Some might be an injury from a feeder or metal fencing, while some may be from a papillomavirus. Some heal while some lesions fall of in time.
