I'm sick and tired of this blasted bator I could throw it out the window (and I actually would if it didn't have eggs in it!)

The humidity gets stuck at 50% ...so I add a SMALL amount of water and it shoots to 70...these chicks are going to die with all this fluctuation.

What to do??

(they are due to hatch any day)

Relax....humidity doesn't need to be as precisely measured as temperature. If they are close to hatch (within 3 days) 70% is fine.

Thanks

I don't think I will be doing this again when all these eggs are done, way too stressful for me (I'm a very high-strung person, obviously). I even had to double my dose of Lopressor today..blasted eggs. LOL

LOL, it will all be worth it when you see that first chick pop out. In July I set some eggs, planning on it being my only hatch for the time being. But as I watched them hatch, all I could think was "Let's do THAT again!"
