You get one rogue roo that messes with your best flock??

I have all my pens netted across the top, and closed off to everyone except who is supposed to be in that particular pen. I had about 5 roos running loose, because I didn't have particular pen for them. My naked neck Stupid (who very much deserves the name) somehow managed to fall through an unseen hole in the netting into my BLRW pen. I have no idea how long he's been in there, since I've been gone most of the day, and I have no way to ascertain if he was allowed to mate with any of the hens by the BLR roos. I sell the eggs, which is helping with my feed money. Now I can't sell them for the next few weeks so I won't be selling eggs that will turn out to be mixed breed.

He has no idea how close he came to the chopping block tonight!:thun

Because of him, I had to do some quick rearranging, and now all the loose roos, including Stupid, are now in their own pen. I have some very unhappy chickens tonight because they aren't in their own familiar places.

No, I won't do that. Blue laced red wyandottes aren't that easily available, and I doubt they would sell as well as they would if they were guaranteed pure. Besides, he's kind of already pulled this once. One of my hens got loose, my guess is for only about 30 mins or so, and he had already caught her and bred her without me knowing it. I forgot all about it, and both me and a customer ended up with one of his chicks in a batch. He makes beautiful chicks, but I really don't need any mixed breed chicks right now. I certainly don't like my customers to end up with surprises like that. It doesn't make me look too great as a reputable seller.
