GRRRR!!! Naughty, Naughty Rooster!!!

fowlweatherfriends - last night I removed my Roo's spurs only to find more spurs underneath! Are you saying that you totally removed them? Also, I didn't use a potato- I simply got the pliers a gave them a concentrated 'twist'... they popped right off without the Roo even flinching! There was a bit of blood, but nothing dripping or anything. Anyway, if you know of a way to permanently remove the spurs, please post. Thanks!

She'll grow up to be one tough farm girl Angie. Ouch..bet that is sore tonight. I don't care how much we try to protect them, things will happen.

I had a hen jump up and try to flog me the other day....I never would have imagined such a thing happening. I think my birds are getting a little cabin fever from being cooped up so much right now.

She never was afraid of him. Unfortunately (because he was such a beautiful boy and fathered my wonderful little cockerel, Hiro. Not because I liked the fact he had a naughty episode) the offending roo passed away a few weeks ago for unknown reasons, so he is not going to be a problem.
