Grrrrrrrrrrrr - Guineas!

hmmm...do you ever wonder if some of our interactions with our feathered friends will someday mysteriously appear on Youtube? I catch myself glancing over to my neighbor's yard every so often, looking for that glint of sun off the camera lens...neighbors trying to win that million on Funniest Home Videos...

OMG - the very thought of someone taking a video of me with my guineas is scary - I'd be sectioned and dragged off to a lunatic asylum!

You and me both Brit, lol... especially when I am out in my pajamas in the morning shaking/waving an empty grain sack like a crazy woman and cussing out my young Guineas-in-training to get back over the fence!

On Sunday, hubby planted quite a few early lettuce, cabbage, chard, and other veggies in his gardens. Monday since he didn't have to work and was going to be home all day I let the Guineas and chickens out of their pen as I left for work. Later I sent him a message asking how they were enjoying an extra day 'out'. (We only let them free range when we are home as we have lots of dogs living around us). His answer to my message was:

"$#%#$EWRT Guineas were eating the chinese cabbage and chard!

They were going at it like a 6 year old on Halloween candy!!"

I almost spewed coffee all over my computer at work I wqas laughing so hard.

LMAO oops! Hard lesson learned there. Probably a good idea to build some wire cages around the newly planted veggie starts, lol. Poor hubby tho, I feel his pain, gardening is hard work and Guineas can wipe out those tender starts in a heartbeat.

OH THE FRUSTRATION! Why is it that weeds don't look HALF as tasty as the veggies that we painstakingly plant???? How in the world do they know???
