Guard Dog

My dobermans lived peacably, I thought, for probably two years with my pigeons. The dogs were loose in the backyard and the pigeons in backyard aviaries.

Then one day I went out there, the wire doors to the aviaries were completely bent in two, blood everywhere, dead bodies, my favorite pigeon gone--don't know if he escaped or was one of the casualties.

I had no heart for raising pigeons after that and gave what was left away to prevent a second tragedy and I'm sure there would have been.

Just be very, very careful.

just please remember smart dog with nothing to do (any breed).. usually will "find" things to do,, and you wont like it when he finds things to keep himself busy...
this usually means... digging, chewing,, destroying, chasing,, and killing

Ruth your dog is beautiful! I wish I had one.... I have 7 rescues and all are mutts with the exception of Jake, a one-eyed wire hair Fox Terrier (he is a terror!!) Theresa
