Okay, it's from Africa. No, it's not a Western Screech Owl,

unless Wiki is wrong!

You got one thing right- it's an owl. All of the birds in this genus are small and agile. They are colored in various brownish hues, sometimes with a lighter underside and/or face, which helps to camouflage them against the bark of trees. Some are polymorphic- (don't ask me what that means) occurring in a greyish- and a reddish-brown morph.
